The Exhibition
Forged from ancient sand, limestone, geothermal water and crystals, The Living Laboratory is set within a pristine, 400-million-year-old limestone cave. The exhibition traces the classical elements through masterworks by local and international artists; blending physical fine art and raw geological specimens under a strict zero-impact mandate.
Each chamber serves as a self-contained sanctuary across our three pillars of convergence: Ecological, Elemental, and Resonant. We invite guests to navigate the subterranean circuit at their own pace, guided only by sound and light.
The Lithic Codex: Digitally Immortalised
To transcend physical boundaries, the subterranean circuit is anchored by our official phygital platform: The Lithic Codex. Engineered with visionary local and international tech partners, it integrates secure blockchain provenance and tactile NFC technology to act as an immutable digital twin, bridging contemporary fine art, somatic wellbeing, and geological conservation.
More than a transient exhibition, this digital ecosystem ensures our December 2026 debut serves as a living archive, allowing the narrative to evolve and reach a global audience through 2030 and beyond.

GETTING THERE
Due to the raw subterranean terrain, the natural cave system is not wheelchair accessible. On-site parking at The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat is highly limited; should capacity be reached, guests will be directed to designated parking at the nearby Lost World of Tambun. Upon arrival at the main security pavilion, our dedicated staff will chaperone your party directly to the exhibition chambers. Please ensure your vehicle registration number is provided during booking for seamless security clearance.

Is entry free?
Yes. The Living Lab is offered without charge. Your reservation simply secures your passage through each elemental chamber, and our dedicated ground staff will personally chaperone your party along the route to the exhibition.
Who may attend?
Due to the intense geothermal conditions and the physical demands of navigating raw subterranean pathways, entry is strictly reserved for guests aged 12 and above. For health and safety reasons, the circuit requires a moderate level of physical fitness and is not suitable for senior citizens, expectant mothers, or individuals with mobility limitations.
Do children need their own reservation?
Yes. To preserve the intimacy of the experience and uphold our zero-impact safety mandate, entry into the subterranean chambers is strictly limited to batches of 15 guests per time slot. Please ensure you reserve a slot for every eligible member of your party (aged 12 and above).
Is photography permitted?
Photography for personal use is highly encouraged. To preserve the immersive ambient lighting and protect the fine art canvases, we ask that flash be disabled throughout the subterranean circuit. We invite you to share your journey using #TheLivingLaboratory2026.
What should I bring?
Bring only your curiosity and a smartphone to interact with the NFC features of The Lithic Codex. Due to the raw limestone terrain and natural geothermal heat, flat, comfortable walking shoes are strictly required. We also highly recommend dressing in light, breathable attire to ensure your comfort throughout the subterranean circuit
